Sometimes it’s the pause that shifts everything. Sometimes it’s one well-timed question. And sometimes it’s laughing in the middle of a hard moment, because humour sneaks in even when things feel heavy.
I’ve found sessions often hold all of this — space for quiet, space for curiosity, and space for humour when it lightens the load. The work we do together isn’t about the destination as much as it is about all the moments along the way that can create something new.
I don’t have all the answers, but over time I’ve gathered a set of skills from both life and learning. These allow me to confidently accompany you in your self-exploration and to hold space for all that shows up so you can show up as your authentic self.
I find great joy in creating a space where people feel safe to share and explore their stories, and the meanings behind them. In this work, growth often shows up as a deepening of self-awareness, compassion, and the ability to meet yourself with empathy. Over time, this process helps people reconnect with their own inner wisdom — the part that knows how to guide us forward.
Communication flows through both our words and our bodies. By tuning into bodily sensations, we can release old tensions and nurture a sense of safety. As we soften how we speak to ourselves, our relationships naturally blossom into more tender, open connections.

We all need to be heard, especially when we’re struggling or hurting. When we are really heard, we are given the opportunity to explore our past and present, and focus on our challenges. The insight that follows allows us to address the feeling of being stuck rather than getting caught up in the judgement of others. The space created in therapy provides a safe place to explore who we are, identify our patterns, gain a better understanding of what makes us unique, and allows us to make changes. This is accomplished by building a trusting relationship between the client and therapist in a collaborative and supportive environment. Our Okanagan counselling sessions do this for the client and therapist.
